ill start by mentioning we have a shop site that is resource for both glen and myself. so please check it out. there are a few things that i wanted to post about. first and probably most notable is that the shop that glen paradis and myself  opened is very busy , upbeat and blessed to have such great clients. we have now been slam dunking tattoos for just over the 1yr mark and we both have alot of people to thanks for that being possible. to name a few ill start with glen. hes an inspiration in too many ways to mention them all but  here are a couple. one would be that in a self regulated industry, rarely do you find such discipline  and consistency. glen has both and an A+ in execution. for this i am grateful, for the good example he is. always has a friends back and to have a great role model in the life management sector is a gift for me. thanks glen. also on the thanks list is wayne murrill. he really had a great hand in conjuring up the idea  for glen and i to partner up and lit a fire under the both of us. wayne saw potential . not to mention his attention to detail in the logistics of how to get it done. that attention, benefited us immensely and he was ever so kind to pass that step by step guide along to us. opening a shop was stressful enough in the beginning even with his insight. so without his guidance, notes, advice and support, i would hate to see what may have been. glen is calm and great under pressure….im the worst. also, katie, my love is my bright shining sun when its a cloudy day. she helps keeps my screws tightened, even when im in denial that they are loose. she is just the best.  as well kaylie  really helped keeps things running smoothly at the start and is now apprenticing at the ink spot. yay kaylie! so for all of those who’ve helped, many thanks to you all. currently we have christian as our aide or man at the wheel and he himself will be starting to tattoo soon so please keep your eyes and ears open for news on that. once he gets started im certain he will be busy. thankfully we have nate macdonald to step in and help out once christian has started. he will be joining us in late june. nate has started tattooing and will continue to and learn as well, simultaneously sharing the counter/shop management role with christian. thus he will get up to speed with the operation of the shop and the two of them will share those duties for the next while. maybe forever, hehehehe.

so! my concrete immediate plans to travel are:                  webposthorse

Halifax tattoo convention- may 17 18 19

Toronto tattoo convention- june 13 14 15

Montreal art/tattoo convention- september 5 6 7

Calgary tattoo convention-october 17 18 19

aside form that i plan on doin one other convention outside canada and if anyone has a suggestion please contact me. perhaps may even want to share a booth and is  looking for a tat con bud.

one other trip to note is that ill be in vancouver and victoria and maybe even some other b.c town around the time of the vancouver convention although i wont be attending that one. a stop with the fellas at government street tattoo and a coupleother spots that are not yet confirmed but when they are youll get the news.

im going to leave it at thatexcept one last dont miss a guest : check out Cam (willy grimes) febuary 5 6 7 8

so things are chugging along quite nicely here at barnstormer . both glen and myself are very busy and i have just a couple of things to notify those who are curious about our goings on. first glen has proudly had his first art show at seven crowns tattoo in toronto called, artificial intelligence! ill post the flyer at the end of this update. as well as glens many paintings, christian awad has two submissions and i myself have one. so congrats glen and thanks again to the folks at seven crowns for having the barnstormer crew. also glen will have prints available at the shop for purchase. i will have some of my flash as well. please come by the shop for more info! to those of you who are curious our tall slender friend from whoville, kaylie is now apprenticing at the ink spot. yay for kaylie! plus she can dunk. youtube it. so if you are calling the shop to book appointments or consultations youll most likely be speaking with our right hand man, christian. hes a very cordial young many of many talents. if you would like to see him in action, either wiping the sweat from my brow or doing good drawings, at the shop is where you will find him. other than that you can hear him do raps with the rest of his fantastic musical crew called, sound of lions. apparently this music is great for “bonig, sexy like”. ok, so now you are up to speed somewhat. if you are looking to get an appointment right now im booking in november and glen in january so you best get to it…..also ill be slowly catching up on updating pictures on both my site, shop site and portfolio. over and out!

hi all! so as it is right now we will have a phone installed as of nov 15th. the shop number will be 613 695 5597. pretty well just rolls off the tongue doesn’t it. id really just like to say thanks once again to those who have already helped so much. alot of support and alot of love. on the visual side of things you may have seen a recent post of mine on facebook in regards to our sign which is being done by doug bernhardt. the preliminary sketches look fantastic. cant wait to see it once its hoisted up there. as well my good friend ross proulx is doing some web and print illustrations for us. here is one below. we will be using this one for our temp sign until doug has completed the permanent one.  im very grateful to know such wonderful and talented folks. anyhow ill leave it at that as there is so much i want to say but a more in depth post will have to wait until glen and i have things rolling. stay tuned.
